Daily Yinz – Constant Hell – Theft

Constant Hell’s latest features grindcore inspired by crimes (and a Misfits cover).

“Endangerment.” “Distribution.” “Theft.” “Public Intoxication.” “Assault.” “Arson.” “Mommy Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight.” With the hopeful exception of the Misfits cover, the song list on Crime Grind reads like a typical Friday night on lovely Carson St. One can easily picture hordes of frenzied club- and bar-goers partaking in an apocalyptic melee while Constant Hell’s clamorous assault plays in the background. The drums sound like bottles smashing on pavement and trashcans flying through windows. The guitars mimic car and motorcycle engines revving as they jerkily navigate the chaos so that they might ram themselves into buildings. The vocals may very well be the unintelligible gibbered belches of the drunkest and angriest person at Jack’s Bar. If you listen to the frantic squall of “Theft,” you are guaranteed to loot the nearest Whole Foods.
