Daily Yinz – No Reason To Live – Every Day is a War

Metal brawlers throw down the gauntlet with an EP called The Price of Disloyalty.

The EP’s six tracks bristle with furious defiance, stomping and bellowing until smoke shoots from their ears. The contorted beatdown that is “Every Day is a War” serves its guitars two ways: Relentless Barrage of Body Blows and Melodic Air Raid. The strings and the sticks shadowbox each other, changing up their rhythms, feinting and jabbing, each daring the other to keep up. The solos are squalls of fretboard lightning underpinned by the thunder of a double bass drum pedal. Barked exhortations ring out like battle calls from the frontlines of some apocalyptic struggle: “Every day is a war / Wake up and fight.” There may be no reason to live, but there is definitely reason to mosh.
