Rappers G Kiddo, Bolt, and Baby Swervin unite for the celebratory “Watchu See In Me.”
The track sees the emcees trade melodic verses back and forth, delving into their values, goals, and accomplishments. The three work as a unit, each one riffing on the song’s central refrain (“Tell me what you see in me/Why you believe in me”) for a few bars before passing the mic to the next man up. Family is a recurring theme here; Kiddo pays tribute to multiple generations (“Daddy and my mama proud/See, I’m a man, ain’t I/Made a promise to my son/I’ma stand on it”), Bolt shouts out his mom (“Love it when she smile down on me”), and Swervin gives thanks for his parents’ faith in him. There’s plenty of time for money talk as well, with the three celebrating their successes to this point while simultaneously striving for more. The song’s light, bouncy instrumental–heavy on contemplative piano–keeps things lively and mellow at the same time, an appropriate atmosphere in which to reflect on the past while planning for the future.
