Today's CD Deep Dive Jamboree Fest picks (courtesy of LA's @recordsurplus and @amoebahollywood) are Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, bleary and full of "mmmm" ad-libs, The Octopus Project's One Ten Hundred Thousand Million, a combination of live drums and bleepy synths, Sarah Vaughan's self-titled, a languid classic of vocal jazz featuring trumpeter Clifford Brown, Loop's A Gilded Eternity, which boils rock music down to a propulsive drone, and Jack Johnson's Brushfire Fairytales, playing in coffee shops everywhere.
